Evilweevil Records

A blog on the internet

Over the last few months I’ve debated on continuing to do the label and its weird to say that August will be the last month for the foreseeable future. I’ve loved everything about doing this but its time to move on and possibly come back at a later date.

But with most endings there are new beginning, I’m very happy to announce that me and my friend Drew are opening a mini golf and arcade zone in the city of Philadelphia. Its been a wild ride but I hope you continue to follow my journey into this world.
I would like to thank everyone who has EVER helped out evil weevil, everyone band, every journalist, every friend, every follower, ever customer, every person that came out to the road to ruins, every publicist, our distributor, other labels, everyone thank you. Your support has helped me through a lot of dark timelines.

Crazy Ambrose

WILD CARD, BITCHES.

Seeing Ambrose wrestle in front of 25 people to seeing him wrestle in front of 75,000 is incredible. I guess this is the equivalent of saying “I like the demo more”, or “I saw them in a basement”.

(repost from fb)

Hi friends - this is a long shot, but I’m working on booking a short tour for my new project Flashlight O in Europe in support of an upcoming cassette release. I have a very rough trajectory planned. If you recognize a place in this list where you may know a fitting venue,…

photoboothrecords:

Pocketknife is a band from Yorba Linda, CA, playing music that sounds like it should have been released on Sub Pop in the 90s. Keeping in that vein, this 7” single was recorded with Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Seaweed, etc.), and it sure sounds like it. Both songs bring a great combination of heavily distorted hooks with shouted vocals, likely to please fans of Superchunk and Sebadoh. 200 copies on clear purple vinyl, the rest on black, with full-color glue-pocket covers.

Up the River - Kickstarter →

everyoneeverywhere:

I (Brendan McHugh) produced this film, UP THE RIVER. We shot it last summer, and it’s coming together now, but we need some additional funds to finish post-production. If you’re able to, please support the film on Kickstarter. Any amount helps!

Here is a synopsis:

UP THE RIVER is a film…

One of my number one guys needs your help with a film be produced.
